~ Our Featured Adopted GSD ~

REMY has been adopted by a family that adopted a male from us many years ago as a patrol dog with his handler for malls, businesses and events. He has done well with the consistency and training he is receiving and is happy to work for the attention and praise. Remy is a 2 year old dark black and tan male that is a Hurricane Katrina victim; he was signed over by his family to rescue because they were not able to be back into their home for the foreseeable future. It was not an easy decision on their part but with months to a year or more before they would be able to be home again that felt this was the best decision for him. Remy was raised as a housedog with another GSD. He is a typical young male that needed some obedience and consistency, which he'll get now. He was at LSU for 5 weeks getting hand walked by the volunteers and they wrote comments like nice boy, loves attention, took me for a walk, loves cookies and to play with the toys. He has been a good boy here, rides well in a car, has handled all the changes well.
